SADC: Intervene to find a peaceful settlement to Zimbabwean political crisis

Why this is important

Why you must sign this petition;

In view of escalating violence, the breakdown of the rule of
law and the economic and social crisis in Zimbabwe, whose magnitude has a profound regional impact, we Zimbabweans speaking with one voice globally call upon the SADC body to deliberate, intervene and to find a peaceful settlement, transition for Zimbabwean crisis.

We welcome the voice of the Elders, who are distinguished diplomats and states men and women of Africa to put pressure on SADC to find a home grown solution to Zimbabwe’s political impasse, taking into consideration all stakeholders. As SADC meets from 26 to 31 August in Mbambane, Swaziland, we
want to present this petition to the heads of state that includes President Robert Mugabe, to accept the end of an era of ZANU PF brutal government, to stop the brutalisation of innocent civilians, respect the will of Zimbabweans to have a transitional process to a free and fair elections.
