Ex-Governor Turns To Vending

MASVINGO.Former provincial Governor and Resident Minister, Willard Chiwewe, axed by President Robert Mugabe for being aligned to the Mujuru faction which supported Simba Makoni’s presidential bid, has now resorted to selling vegetables.

Chiwewe cried uncontrollably when Mugabe fired him in the recent appointment of governors from the country’s ten provinces.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Sports and Culture, Titus Maluleke, deemed politically correct by Mugabe, has now replaced Chiwewe.

Chiwewe is usually seen with his Toyota Vigo twin cab selling vegetables he grows on the land he got after the controversial 2000 land invasions.

The bespectacled former senior civil servant, who packed all his belongings from the government offices in the dead of the night to avoid the glaring public, fumed at this reporter when he was asked why he had resorted to selling vegetables.

And there lays the reason why the ''deal'' is not moving forward and being choked by the zanu pf ministers...

These guys have been looting the country for years and been so stupid about it.In stead of looting a couple of times and investing the money wisely ....also making sure that the goose that laid the golden egg does not starve to death.....no they had to just keep on looting and living high on the hog while ''the goose'' slowly but surely got thinner and thinner and today ''the goose'' can hardly even afford to draw its next breathe to keep it alive....and still the fools want to hang on cause without their positions in government they will have NOTHING and they will be NOTHING.......

We will keep attacking MDC supporters until Mugabe tells us to stop."

Berison Bvirivindi, a street vendor, thought the peace deal signed by Zimbabwe's leaders last week meant it was safe to wear a T-shirt showing support for the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).
He ended up in hospital.

Still in severe pain from his injuries, Bvirivindi said he had been seized at his stall in Harare's Road Port bus station by a gang from Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF youth militia - the same organisation which terrorised Zimbabweans earlier this year to such an extent that the MDC leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, quit the second round of a presidential election he was leading to spare his followers further violence.

"They told me that they were going to continue attacking MDC supporters until Robert Mugabe tells them to stop and acknowledge Morgan Tsvangirai's role as prime minister," Bvirivindi said in his hospital bed.

As you can see I changed the name of my blog cause ''kick mugabe out'' just ain't going to happen....the man has signed a deal with ''Super Glue'' and they are using him to advertise for them about just how strong and long lasting it is......

What really amazes me is that after 28 years of ''mugabe'' making sure that he stays put people still believed that he was going to abide by the agreement and everything was going to be smooth sailing from the deal signing moment on.....

I really want this deal to work so badly and am so frustrated with ''mugabe and the generals'' for all the prancing and frothing and peeing all over the place......all of the delaying is because of greed and the fact that these ministers etc in zanu pf have got what they have by looting and corruption and without the ability to carry on treating Zimbabwe as their private ATM withdrawals only bank they have and will be nothing.....

MDC,THE GENERALS,ZANU PF AND mugabe..

This whole little group of ''mafia'' are really becoming sickening.....and no one seems to realize or if they do they just don't want to admit it that no matter what deal or seats in parliament MDC signs or has ''the generals'' are still going to be in control behind the scenes....

And now this deal is supposed to be have been reached and signed and every one is rejoicing with out even waiting to see exactly what is going on and where the power base will be.

MDC in power also frightens me as I have no trust in them what so ever.I admire MT for his courage in taking all the beatings etc but when it comes to making good decisions and then sticking to his word he really falls short of the mark.Look at how many ''stay aways'' he kept calling over the years and none of them were any good but he kept on calling for mass ''stay aways'' surely if he saw that the first one didn't do much he should have changed his tactics not keep on bashing his head in the same place all the time.

Another trait that is not a good one at all for a leader to have is that if he takes an action on something he gets half way and then gives up.And this thing of making a huge deal for weeks before they do something and then when the time comes it is a huge flop....not a very wise way to go...how is MDC going to handle pressure in government if they aren't good at it as a party.....???

Anyway we should soon know just how much power or not they will have.

God Bless Zimbabwe and all her people where ever they maybe and give strength and protection to those back home.....

AND HERE IS A JUST GOT SNIPPET OF WHAT THE DEAL ENTAILS......SHOCK AND SURPRISE zanu pf the generals and mugabe still hold the keys to the kingdom......

It's A Deal!

THE ruling Zanu PF and the main opposition MDC last night reached a landmark power-sharing agreement that will result in President Robert Mugabe and Morgan Tsvangirai jointly running an inclusive government.

The agreement — reached after four days of intense negotiations — leaves Mugabe as head of state and government with Tsvangirai becoming coordinator of government affairs. Sources said Mugabe would chair cabinet while Tsvangirai, who would be responsible for policy formulation and implementation, would preside over a council of ministers. Cabinet and the council of ministers will liaise on government affairs and policy issues.

Cabinet, appointed by virtue of the agreement but officially announced by Mugabe, would be the policy decision-making body while the Council of Ministers would be a liason platform.

Mugabe would retain control of state security affairs while Tsvangirai would supervise ministers and deal with day-to-day government issues, it was said.

The main highlights of the agreement, to be made public on Monday, include;

*President, two deputies and prime minister and two deputies;

*Mugabe, as head of state and government, to chair cabinet of 31 ministers;

*Tsvangirai to preside over a council of ministers, supervises ministers, formulates and implements policies, sits in National Security Council (JOC) and heads government business in parliament;

*Zanu PF to have 15 ministers, Tsvangirai’s MDC faction 13 and the Arthur Mutambara group 3. Deputy ministers to be shared in a proportional way; Zanu 8, MDC-T 6 and MDC-M 1.

*Provincial governors to be shared among the three parties;

*No by-elections for a year. If any party loses an MP it will automatically fill in the vacancy without an election;

*Constitutional Amendment No 19 to be made to facilitate implementation of the agreement;

*New constitution after 18 months.

A proposal to have a council of state headed by Mugabe, including his two vice-presidents, the prime minister and the two deputy prime ministers and a cabinet chaired by Tsvangirai as a power-sharing mechanism, was rejected by Zanu PF as unworkable.

South African President Thabo Mbeki, the mediator in the talks between Zanu PF and two MDC factions, told journalists last night at a local hotel a deal had been reached and a signing ceremony would be on Monday at 10am.

"An agreement has been reached on all matters on the agenda. There will be a signing ceremony on Monday at 10:00 here in Harare. The leaders endorsed the document tonight and signed. It was a unanimous agreement arrived at without any reservations," Mbeki said.

"I am absolutely, absolutely certain that the leadership of Zimbabwe is committed to implementing the agreement. They carry a common responsibility to address the challenges facing the country."

Tsvangirai told journalists that "we have got a deal" soon after the negotiations.

Mbeki said regional and African leaders would be in Harare on Monday to witness the signing ceremony. He said local and African leaders would have to work together to mobilise resources needed for Zimbabwe’s socio-economy recovery.

Mbeki appealed to the international community to support the agreement which he described as locally-made.

"It’s made in Zimbabwe, it’s made by Zimbabweans, the rest of the world needs to respect that the people of Zimbabwe have taken a decision about their own country," Mbeki said. "It’s inevitable it will succeed."

However, power-sharing talks in governments of national unity (GNU) have mainly failed in post-colonial Africa. They failed in Angola, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and even in South Africa. In Kenya, GNU is in intensive care unit.

Mbeki said the world must respect the agreement because he had fears that Western countries who were either sceptical or opposed his mediation could refuse to endorse the deal and provide financial aid to revive the economy. The United States and Britain, who have pledged financial support, had reservations about Mbeki’s mediation.

Mbeki is said to have been already mobilising resources for Zimbabwe. It is said he managed to negotiate with the African Development Bank (ADB) to provide US$1 billion to help resuscitate Zimbabwe’s economy. This is one of the carrots that Mbeki dangled to persuade negotiating parties to sign. The money would come in two tranches of US$500 million. However, Zimbabwe owes the ADB in excess of US$5 billion. ADB president Donald Kaberuka on Monday addressed negotiators and promised financial assistance if a deal was reached but did not mention figures. He said the ADB was prepared to reschedule or cancel Zimbabwe’s debt. He also said his bank would coordinate international assistance for Zimbabwe.

South Africa a few years ago wanted to loan Zimbabwe US$1 billion to help resuscitate the economy. Zimbabwe’s economy has virtually collapsed with annual inflation officially above 11 million percent. Government on Wednesday dollarised the economy due to inflation and a continued crash of the local currency.

Mbeki said although the talks were dragging he was not worried because SA had been in convoluted negotiations elsewhere in Africa in countries such Lesotho, Burundi, Comoros, DRC and Ivory Coast. He said he was unfazed by criticism of his quiet diplomacy "because diplomacy is quiet anyway". He said there had never been any fears that the Zimbabwe crisis if left unresolved would affect South Africa’s hosting of the soccer World Cup.

Zanu-PF to revenge Mugabe humiliation

The head of Zimbabwe Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) Happyton Bonyongwe (L) with Constantine Chiwenga, the commander of the Zimbabwean Army (C) are pictured in talks with President Robert Mugabe.

Well we all knew that zanu pf,the generals and mugabe were never ever going to let the opposition MP's get away with their ''booing'' etc in parliament....

Reality must never ever be seen in Zimbabwe by ''mugabe''.....he must always think that all is well and smelling of roses.....

So now one of the senior politburo guys has told the zanu pf supporters that they have to seek revenge for what their ''god'' had to endure.....

Here are snippets of the report.....

HARARE - A senior Zanu-PF politburo member has urged party supporters to prepare for a revenge mission after the humiliation of President Robert Mugabe when he officially opened Parliament on Tuesday.....

Addressing supporters outside the Zanu-PF headquarters in Harare, the party secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa urged them to gear themselves for retribution against MDC supporters....

Mutasa said Zanu-PF legislators watched in dismay as MDC supporters and legislators harangued Mugabe in full view of passers-by. He said, inside Parliament, Mugabe and Zanu-PF MPs were treated like school children by the opposition.

Said Mutasa: “It was a painful experience to watch our president, your president, being subjected to that kind of treatment and harassment by the MDC and its supporters

“We know that you were as pained as your leadership and there should be some recourse for that kind behaviour. We will do all we can to feed you and be strong to hit back.

We know that you were as pained as your leadership and there should be some recourse for that kind behaviour. We will do all we can to feed you and be strong to hit back.

“They know what we are capable of doing and they should not cry foul when we deliver that blow as symbolized by the fist which is the party’s symbol.”

He said Mugabe would, in the near future, give direction and guidance on the nature and form of the retribution.

“I cannot speak more about the things that will be done,” said Mutasa. “If the president was here, he would have told us what will be done and how it should be.”

Mugabe is accused of engineering well-calculated violent campaigns.

Mat North 3rd Sept Report on food, fires and Hunting.

Starvation

Our people need food! Especially in cut off areas like Binga and Lupane.

We are doing our best to get Mealie meal to them but with the lack of transport and finance it is very difficult.

Last week in Binga South, MP Joel Gabbuza picked up a small family on the side of road 18 KMs south of Binga. It was a mother and her three children. She was carrying her youngest child who child had just died in her arms. The other two children were both in a critical condition. Joel rushed the little family to the hospital in Binga. It seem that in their desperate hunger they had eaten poisonous roots. Luckily the mother and two children after a few days of care in the hospital have survived. For now.

Bush Fires and a potential Environmental disaster

Below is a report we got in yesturday from Environment Africa. It seems that they have managed to get enough help and fuel through the generosity of the local business people and hopefully in the next day or so the fire will be brought under control.

Environmental Disaster looming
We would like to inform you that there are three veldt fires that are moving towards Victoria Falls. We had a meeting with the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe -Fuller Forest Area Manager. He indicated that the veldt fires originated from Botswana and have destroyed a very big part of Panda-Masuwe Forest. The fires started last week on Friday and they are now heading towards the Chamabondo Vlei and Zambezi National Park.

The Forestry Commission has run out of fuel to use to move during fire fighting. They are therefore appealing to the corporate sector and individuals for donations in the form of fuel and manpower. The Manager said they need about 150 liters of diesel to effectively address this problem. They also need about 50 volunteers for the exercise. They also need one land cruiser for the exercise.

Could you please assist with donation of fuel ranging from 5 liters of diesel and above. Cumulatively we will be able to get the required amount.

For more information please Contact Namo Chuma on 011 736 637 Fuller Forest Area Manager Mr Mashingaidze on 011912826

Commercial Hunting Again in Chizarira

A hunting safari is taking place at the moment in Chizarira National Park again . Chizarira was one of the most pristine wilderness areas in Africa. Between uncontrolled poaching and now commercial hunting how will the wildlife in the park ever recover?.

I do not have the full details on this except that they are camped at Mabola camp site and due to all the shooting tourists that are staying nearby barley seen a thing as the wildlife is so skittish.
All of the above are just a few more of the symptoms of the terrible disease that our Country suffers from. God help us if we don't get a cure soon!
